Keyboard Grand Piano

There are three types of piano. They are upright piano, electronic piano and the grand pianos. The size of the grand piano is 2m to 3m for the parlour grand and for the boudoir grand it is 1m to 2m. It will be even smaller for the baby piano. It will not be necessary to deal with the size of the piano when a person is having the keyboard with him.

The grand piano can be chosen by a person only if he has sufficient money and enough floor space for keeping the piano. When the space is very little, even the baby grand piano will look big. The main advantage of the big piano is the big sound produced by it and because of its big size it has long string in it. The baby grand piano is short but has thick strings in it for gaining the sound that is lost due to the size like the bass guitar. Small instrument with thick strings have less pull and thus produces sound with good clarity.

The upright piano or otherwise called as the vertical piano contains the strings and the frames that go horizontally in the inner side of the piano. It allows for a very small instrument with the general size of around 45 inches. Due to this many of the families on an average line will choose the upright piano once the decision is taken for purchasing the piano. Even with this small size it occupies much space in the room.

The digital technology is used in the electronic piano till the period of beginning of 1980’s mainly for reproduction of the acoustic piano sound. But, the development in the modern technology also finds it very tough to reproduce the sound of the acoustic piano. It is not favoured by many of the players of the piano.
