The MIDI Controls on an Electronic Piano Keyboard

The functions of almost all the Electronic Piano keyboards have MIDI Controls. Not only digital Pianos, but also any type of Pianos will have the MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) controls. They allow communication (sending and receiving datas) between computers and the musical instruments. In the case of an ordinary keyboard, the data will be sent when a key is presses on the keyboard and they will determine the specific note and the duration. Besides this, the MIDI controls have some more factors. Each key touched by you has a sensor which will sense the quantum of pressure applied to the key and the note will vary according to the depth of the sound. If the pressure is more, the sound will be deeper and if the pressure is less, the sound will be mild.

The MIDI on an electronic keyboard produces a variety of sounds besides improving the quality of the sound. This will facilitate the user to produce many digital effects like delay, reverberation tremolo can be used so as to create complementally note of each note at any pitch possible. Modulation and pitch wheels are added advantages together with sustain pedals which help to hold the notes as long as required.

The digital effects to the sound played are mapped to three of the 127 MIDI controls within the keyboard’s infrastructure and modash, one for reverb, one for chorus and one for other effects and modash and are configured through the graphical interface of the keyboard. This effect enhances the sound sensation of the music played and thus benefits the listeners with greater satisfaction and enjoyment of the music.
